I discovered photography later in life, drawn to its power to freeze fleeting moments and grant them permanency. Through my lens, I aim to illuminate overlooked corners and forgotten spaces that evoke the simplicity and innocence of a childhood landscape.

Rooted in the practice of contemporary Israeli photography, my work serves as a way to preserve these disappearing scenes before they are consumed by Tel Aviv’s rapid urban renewal. While I once sought inspiration in distant lands, my current gaze is focused inward on the familiar and the immediate, capturing the changing urban landscape photography of my surroundings.

My practice involves a patient return to the same locations over many years. By working with film, I choose to 'think photography,' allowing for a slower, more deliberate presence. Within the realm of documentary photography in Israel, I embrace technical imperfections, such as soft focus or erratic exposure, to welcome the raw discovery found only in the traditional developing process.
